Quote in quote, betrayals
Pale
Are only high treason
To those leaving their Heart for the mind's tossed-about "reason"
Thankfully, of course, this cannot be so
For, on course, neither the Heart
Nor anyOne equally a Part
Could be pulled apart, has anywhere to go
And yet to the extent that it's let
Judgment takes hold
With the New seemingly replaced by the old
And its worn out bouts of grievances that scold
Though, lo and behold, take Heart
For Peace, "giving way"
Is merely Wholeness playing the part of a piece, in this temporary play
Appearing to take place
With no more power in the hour
Than a stream has to overtake the sea
Than the ego's doublespeak
Could turn Love, Sweet, sour
